Coupling capacitors СМ (P)(V)

coupling capacitors
          As networks of high-voltage power lines develop, their length increases and they are equipped with automation, the need arises for reliable dispatch and administrative communications between individual points, transmission of telemetering signals, emergency shutdown of switches, relay protection and other data. Typically, such communication is carried out directly via high-voltage power lines at frequencies of 40-1000 kHz. One of the elements of such communication equipment is capacitors, which separate the communication equipment from the high voltage of 50 Hz, passing high-frequency signals through the communication channels. Based on the same capacitors, power take-off devices are made at a frequency of 50 Hz directly from power lines to power measuring equipment and power equipment, as well as measuring devices (dividers, voltage transformers) to measure power line voltage.
          The coupling capacitors are impregnated with an environmentally friendly dielectric liquid, which is not included in the list of those prohibited by the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (2001).
          Capacitors are made using film dielectric. By agreement with the customer, it is possible to manufacture capacitors for a rated voltage of 110/? 3 kV with a paper-film dielectric. In this case, the letters “BP” are indicated in the designation of the capacitor rating. Coupling capacitors are manufactured in both porcelain and polymer casings.
         Purpose
* to provide high-frequency communications at frequencies from 24-1500 kHz in power lines with a rated voltage of 35, 110, 150, 220, 330, 500, 750 kV alternating current, frequency 50 and 60 kHz. The capacitors are made of porcelain shells and impregnated with environmentally friendly liquid;
** for connecting communication equipment to power lines from 6 to 35 kV and lightning protection cables;
*** for installing a high-frequency barrier.

           In the designation of capacitors, the first digit after the type is the rated voltage in kilovolts, the second is the capacitance in nanofarads;

          Designation: C – coupling capacitor; M – oil impregnation; A – in a reinforced tire; B – category of electrical equipment for external insulation; B – with output; P – combined with an insulating stand; M – capacitors are manufactured in metal cases; BP – paper-film dielectric; K – capacitors are manufactured in a composite case with silicone fins (in polymer).

Insulating stands of the PI series are used to complete coupling capacitors.

           1) – Depending on the type of tire, there may be differences in the overall and installation dimensions of the capacitors (indicated in parentheses). The required dimensions are specified when ordering. 2) – By agreement with the customer, it is possible to manufacture capacitors with a leakage distance of external insulation corresponding to pollution degree III or IV according to GOST 9920-89.
